Dallas Psychologist
About Dr. Naomi Bernstein
I am a clinical psychologist specializing in mindfulness based group therapy for depression, anxiety and interpersonal issues. I have developed a unique method for treating patients using a specialized type of group therapy. Group therapy incorporates experiential mindfulness and interpersonal communication practices. A series of identity exploration and motivational group challenges as well as facilitating a supportive community to process past and current life experiences; all wrapped up into a one hour weekly life changing experience.
Patients get the benefit of a therapeutic relationship with an experienced psychologist who will ask questions to help patients explore patterns and develop insight into the underlying causes for their emotional distress and feelings of “being stuck.”
The group dynamic sets the stage for self transformation that cannot be achieved in individual therapy alone. Through listening and sharing vulnerable emotions we create a virtual community where members feel genuinely accepted and cared for.
This can help repair old attachment wounds by providing an environment for safe expression of vulnerability and (oftentimes for the first time) provide patients with a feeling of true emotional intimacy.
If you’ve found yourself in a rut with traditional talk therapy repeating the same themes and narratives week after week then group therapy might be just what you need to take your self improvement to the next level.
Hi, I am Dr. Naomi Bernstein!
I maintain a virtual private practice in Dallas, TX and I am certified to treat patients in 40 states. I have extensive experience helping individuals cope with difficult breakups, family dynamics and unhealthy relationship patterns. I am also specially trained in couple and group therapy.
I have over 16 years of experience as a psychologist. I am a graduate of Brandeis University, and Nova Southeastern University where I was trained in cognitive behavioral and interpersonal therapy. I am currently specializing in mindfulness based treatments to rewire the brain and am currently serving as a private practitioner working virtually with a broad spectrum of clients.
I am a warm, compassionate and genuine therapist committed to helping patients find happiness and serenity. My therapeutic approach is to provide comforting non judgmental support and honest feedback. This helps clients empower themselves with truth about themselves and the ability to access the wisdom beyond the lifelong narrative developed in fear and ego protection . With sincere empathy and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Dallas Psychologist specializing in Mindfulness Group Therapy
I know how hard it is to heal from emotional pain alone. Human nature requires deep emotional connection and vulnerability before we can truly feel seen and heard and heal from old wounds.
I was born to do this work, to connect emotionally and non-judgmentally with other wounded souls. I have discovered just how much more powerful this can be when done by combining the expertise of 16 years of experience as a psychologist with the power of a healing community. I want to share this with as many people as possible.

Groups are designed to help patients feel connected in managing the universal human experience of the huge pull of fear and desire that run our lives regardless of the struggle of this season. Group therapy is for anyone who is looking to broaden their perspective by hearing from other members
Groups combine patients of all ages and stages of life with varying struggles. We find the common experience of noticing grief and pain in our minds and bodies and learn together to sit in the discomfort of the unknown and impermanence of life.

This is therapy designed to bring old wounds to the surface and train your mind to notice when these wounds are needing to be seen and honored. We then learn to relax into the discomfort this brings up and respond with intention to improve relationships and become more present to fully engage with life.

Couple Therapy can bring your relationship back to life! Therapy can help you uncover the loving feelings that once existed that have been buried under hurt and resentment and fueled by unhealthy communication.
When both partners learn and practice mindfulness together we become conscious responders rather than unconscious reactors. This transforms our old wounds into an opportunity for loving connection.
connection
intention
mindfulness
My approach to couples therapy addresses five basic areas:
Stop blaming one another and explore the issues you have as a joint dynamic that needs adjusting rather than wasting time figuring out whose fault it is.
Find out how you are hurting one another and begin to cherish, protect and support one another again.
Learn to be vulnerable with one another in order to understand each other and deepen connection.
Learn healthy communication.
Begin to see the strengths in your relationship rather than focusing on the struggles.
